Juvenile respondents are referred from the following sources: (1) consent decrees from DC Superior Court - Court Social Services, (2) diversion by the Corporation Counsel, (3) Metropolitan Police Department diversions, (4) truancy cases from DCPS Attendance Centers, (5) special cases of parental diversion, and (6) Transit Police Department.

 

Possible infractions include:

  • Destruction of Property

  • Possession of Drugs

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute

  • Disorderly Conduct

  • Receiving Stolen Property

  • Drinking in Public

  • Sexual Solicitation

  • Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

  • Threats and Simple Assault

  • Failure to Pay Metro Fare

  • Theft

  • Shoplifting

  • Pandering

  • Gambling Offenses

  • Truancy

  • Unlawful Entry

  • Unlawful Obscene Activities

  • Possession of BB Gun

  • Parental Diversion*
