2008 DC Public School System: School Beautification Day
"This annual event was established in 2005 as a citywide 'spruce up' of all DC public school buildings in preparation for the first day of school. Beautification efforts will include landscaping, trash pick-up, light painting, planting flowers, and other external beautification efforts. Volunteers are needed at 114 schools." -- DCPS Beautification
Step-Up! B-Ready Campaign: DC Dept. of Health / APRA
"The Step Up! B-Ready Campaign is a product of the Department of Health, Addiction Prevention and Recovery Administration, Office of Prevention and Youth Services. The campaign incorporates seven themes as a basis for providing information and initiating discussions with youth around alcohol, tobacco, drug use and other risky behaviors." -- APRA
